Hello! I’m Diane Jacobs and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself and DSM Driving School.
Based in Northwood, Middlesex, where I’ve lived for almost 30 years. I’m here to provide personally tailored driving lessons for everyone. From absolute beginners to those who’ve had some lessons, but perhaps haven’t yet developed the skills or confidence to pass the driving test.
Everyone is different, we all learn in different ways. For some, just taking to the road for the first time is really daunting. I understand that. My years of experience in general education, working as a Student and Family Education Worker in a large Academy, have given me the sort of skills that have proved invaluable as a Driving Instructor.
As the mother of a teenage son who passed his driving test first time, I also know how other parents feel when their son or daughter takes to the road for the first time. Parents and young drivers alike need to have confidence in the quality of the teaching and feel comfortable with the instructor they choose.
Adult learners have their own concerns too. I’m well known as a calm and confident teacher and have a proven ability to clearly explain each manoeuvre and every technique. As well as carefully and thoroughly preparing my driving pupils for their test and for independent driving beyond that. Which is something that I’m very proud of.
I’ve always had a love of motoring and I enjoy driving myself. It’s a privilege to be able to teach others. My aim is to help all my clients become safe, confident drivers themselves.

I am an ‘AA Approved Driving Instructor’ and provide all levels of driving tuition/lessons in Northwood, Northwood Hills, Pinner, Hatch End, Rickmansworth, Ruislip and all surrounding areas.
